Marie Swann – Parish Clerk

Marie joined the Parish Council in 2010.

In 2017 swapped roles from Councillor to Clerk.

As Parish Clerk and RFO, Marie takes care of the day to day admin of the Parish Council.

Richard Williams – Chair & District Councillor

Richard joined the Parish Council in June 2018, and is very keen to protect our green and open spaces, other interests include transport and road safety.

Richard is the Chair of the Parish Council and the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.

Richard was elected as District Councillor for Whittlesford, Newton, Thriplow & Heathfield in a by-election in February 2020 and re-elected in May 2022.

Philip James – Vice Chair

Philip joined the Parish Council in January 2021.

Philip is a member of the Planning Committee, Environment and Open Space Committee and Vice Chair of the Parish Council.

Ian Beeby

Ian was Co-opted onto the Parish Council in October 2023

Ian is Chair of the Highways and Road Safety Committee, a member of the Environment and Open Space Committee and a Parish Council Representative of the Memorial Hall Management Committee

Emma Dunn

Emma was Co-opted onto the Parish Council in March 2025

Emma is a member of the Environment and Open Space Committee and Planning Committee.

David Cunado

David joined the Parish Council in May 2022.

David is a member of the Highways and Road Safety Committee

Chair of the Planning Committee and a Parish Council Representative of the Lawn Trust.

Pam Freeman

Pam joined the Parish Council in 2006, and is a member of the Environment and Open Space Committee.

Pam is a Parish Council Representative of the Memorial Hall Management Committee.

Pam is also a member of the Eco Whittlesford Committee.

Jan Holmes

Jan joined the Parish Council in 2012.

Jan is an active member of  the Allotment Committee, Road Safety & Highways, together with Speed Watch and Planning.

Michael Kilpatrick

Michael joined the Parish Council in July 2019. 

Michael is a member of the Environment and Open Space Committee

Highways and Road Safety Committee and looks after the speed monitors and provides the council with data.

Marc van Niekerk

Marc joined the Parish Council in September 2021.

Marc is a member of the Planning Committee and Highways and Road Safety Committee.

Richard Redman

Richard was Co-opted onto the Parish Council in March 2025

Richard is a Parish Council Representative and current Chair of the Lawn Trust.

Felicity de Vries

Felicity joined the Parish Council in July 2019.

Felicity is Chair of the Allotment Committee and Community Growers Group and a Parish Council Representative of the Memorial Hall Management Committee.

Felicity also leads the Arts & Heritage project which is a Parish Council project that came from Section 106 money from the Welch’s Transport development. The 106 money awarded was to be spent on Arts & Heritage within the village. The chosen project was mosaic panels (as shown in Felicity’s profile picture) which once complete will be displayed on the outside wall of the Memorial Hall.

Peter McDonald (County Councillor)

In February 2020 Peter was elected as County Councillor for Whittlesford, Duxford, Foxton, Fowlmere, Shepreth, Hinxton, Ickleton, Pampisford, Thriplow & Heathfield, Chishills & Heydon.

Peter is also Chairman of the County Council.
