Important roadworks information M11 northbound between junctions 10 and 11 – resurfacing over 2 nights from Monday 19th January 2026

I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out resurfacing work on the M11 northbound carriageway between junctions 10 and 11. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer and smoother road surface.

We plan to complete this work over two nights starting on Monday 19 January 2026. We will work between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M11 northbound between junctions 10 and 11 and divert traffic as follows:

Drivers will be diverted off the M11 at junction 10 to travel west along the A505 to Royston, to then join the A10 eastbound before rejoining the M11 at junction 11.
