National Highways Bridge Joint Repairs M11- J10

We are writing to tell you that we plan to carry out bridge joint repairs on the M11 at junction 10. This will ensure the M11 and the A505 continues to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.

We plan to complete this work over five nights between Monday 11 November and Saturday 16 November 2024.

We will work between 8pm and 6am on weeknights only, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the northern bridge at junction 10 of the M11 and divert traffic as follows:

 Non-Motorway traffic:

Traffic will need to take the A505 towards Royston, at the A10 roundabout take the third exit to join the A10 (Melbourn Road). Continue on the A10 northbound to the M11 roundabout at junction 11, then take the second exit onto A1309. Turn right on the A1301 (Shelford Road) and continue to the roundabout to rejoin the A505 Causeway to Hunts Farm Roundabout.

Motorway traffic:

Traffic travelling northbound on the M11 will need to continue on the M11 at junction 10 and follow to junction 11. Exit the M11 and take the fourth exit on the roundabout to rejoin the M11 southbound. Exit the M11 at junction 10 if wishing to join the A505.

A1301 Highway Update – Night-time Road Closure

As we move into the final stages of A1301 highway works, further night-time road closures are needed to carry out utilities installation and resurfacing works.
